2026-2027 ELECTION CANDIDATES
How to Vote

It’s time to vote for the 2026-2027 KOPSC Board of Directors. Your vote is important in determining the composition of the Board. As has become our practice in recent years, we are conducting the election via online balloting. This year, you will have the option of voting in advance of – or during – the April monthly meeting. We will send a link to the e-ballot about one week before the meeting. If you prefer to vote at the monthly meeting, you will need to have a smartphone or similar device with internet access so you can scan the QR code that we will provide in order to access the e-ballot.
At the April 21th meeting, our Judge of Elections will tabulate the results, and the winners will be announced at the end of the meeting.
When you receive the email with the information about voting online, please follow the link to the ballot and let your vote be counted.
Please see the list of candidates below. Job descriptions for the Board positions may be reviewed at

Candidates for the 2026-2027 Board of Directors

Gary Hough, Candidate for Treasurer

I am Gary Hough, and I have been Treasurer of KOPSC since May of 2022 and would like to continue in that role for the next year. In the past two years, we have streamlined the KOPSC payment system with online payments, DocuSign, and we updated to QuickBooks online.

My wife Jacqueline and I have been members of KOPSC for around 18 years and have been on a ski trip or two every year since then. We have lived in Princeton, NJ since 2006. I grew up in Ewing, NJ and graduated from Rider University in 1981 with a double major in accounting and computer science.

I retired in March 2021 after almost 40 years from a business that I had owned and managed since 1992. We had 25 employees and sales of more than $50 million dollars. I spent a significant part of my time overseeing the finances and accounting of the company, including closing the books every month and filling in for my staff as needed. I have even done the company’s bank reconciliations and all types of tax returns if needed.
I served on the Board of Trustees for a health insurance program for more than 30 years and helped set strategy and financial oversite. I was the VP of the Fuel Merchants of NJ for more than 25 years.
I am very familiar with QuickBooks, as we used this software for two smaller businesses that we owned. I did all of the initial setups and monthly accounting for these two businesses. In addition, I am very familiar with Microsoft Excel software.
Daria DiTorro, Candidate for Secretary

I'm also running for Recording Secretary because I care about our ski club community and want to give back to the community I love. I am highly organized, detail-oriented, skilled with computer software tools, and I truly love being part of the King of Prussia Ski Club.

I work as a technology consultant and have held agile roles such as Product Owner, Product Analyst, and Scrum Master across the financial, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors. I bring strong analytical thinking, practical problem-solving, careful attention to detail, and a collaborative, consultative approach - skills I plan to put to work for the club.

My club involvement
-
Active member since 2021 (I joined on the Copper Mountain trip).
-
Regular participant in social activities and occasional planner of Friday night Social Hour. I’ve attended and led some book club events.
-
Volunteer assistant trip leader for the Dolomites and Venice (2025) and Banff (2026).
-
As Recording Secretary, I want to make sure our club runs smoothly behind the scenes so members can focus on the fun stuff—skiing, trips, and hanging out together.
Here’s what I’ll bring to the role:
-
Clear, accurate meeting notes that are easy to read and actually useful. I’m organized by nature, so keeping everything tidy and documented is in my DNA.
-
Consistency and follow‑through on records, deadlines, and all those details that keep the club running.
-
A collaborative vibe—I love working with people, and I want to support the board, trip leaders, and volunteers so everyone has what they need.
-
A modern, streamlined approach to documentation and tools, using my tech and organizational skills to make things easier for everyone.
I’m all about helping the club stay organized, transparent, and welcoming—so members feel connected, informed, and excited to participate.

A little about me: I love skiing, reading, and practicing yoga. I also have two Devon Rex cats (they're my "kids"). I'm excited to give back to the club, help events run smoothly, and support a welcoming environment for all members.

Thank You,
Daria

Wendy Jaffe, Candidate for Member-at-Large

My name is Wendy Jaffe. I joined the KOP Ski Club in 2016 because I was looking for
other adults to ski with after my grown children had moved on with their lives. But, what I found was a group of fun loving people who enjoyed staying active in a multitude of different activities. I knew instantly that this was the club for me and have enjoyed getting to know many of you over the years.
I have enjoyed most everything this club has to offer over the past 10 years. Not only
many ski trips both far and near, but also the monthly meetings, Friday night socials, summer picnics and even a cruise to Alaska. You name it, I’ve probably done it. When I’m not at a KOPSC event, I enjoy golfing, gardening and traveling. I’m a local girl born and raised in Worcester currently living in Collegeville.
I recently retired from a 35-year career as an architect. A career that taught me how to
work with many different types of people with a single goal in common. It trained me to fix problems, often with very limited resources; and to make things more functional and more beautiful than when I found them.
Now that I’m retired, I would like to become more involved in the club that has given so
much to me over the years. I would like to serve as Member at Large for the 2026-27 season and be the liaison between you, the member, and the Board. I think I could bring a fresh perspective to the Board and represent all our members to benefit the club to its fullest potential.
If I am elected to the position, I look forward to working with all of you during the coming year.

Thank You,
Wendy Jaffe
Jack Schweitzer Candidate for Vice President

My name is Jack Schweitzer. I joined the KOP Ski Club in 2007 because I wanted to meet others who enjoyed skiing and other outdoor activities.
My wife and I participate in other activities like biking, hiking, Friday socials, visits to the Outer Banks and much more. The club is full of great people: we have made many friends over the years.
I am a Civil Engineer, retired from Amtrak. My wife and I enjoy travel using Amtrak.
I previously served as Member at Large for two years. I now want to support the club through participation on the Board.
Thank You,
Jack Schweitzer

Larry Gordon Candidate for President

For me, KOPSC has always been more than just trips and events—it is a community built on shared experiences, lasting friendships, and a collective love for adventure. That sense of belonging began in 1996, with an eye-opening first club trip to Summit County, Colorado—an experience that not only sparked a deeper passion for skiing, but also revealed the true spirit of the club: connection, camaraderie, and shared discovery. WOW! 30 years of association with a wonderful community.

After many years of enjoying so many of the varied activities provided, I began contributing as well. Initially helping to run or plan smaller activities, then moving on to assisting than leading numerous memorable East Coast and Western trips. Serving as President in 2008 to help guide the club through a successful chapter of growth and engagement. From carefully planned logistics to fostering a welcoming and social atmosphere, these experiences reflect a long-standing commitment to both the skiing and social fabric of the club.
I am eager to once again step into a leadership role—this time with an even stronger focus on giving back and ensuring the long-term sustainability of a club that has provided so much to all of us. With decades of perspective, I understand that what makes the club thrive is not just the great destinations, but the people who actively contribute to its success.

Professionally, I have over 10 years of worldwide product line management experience, along with 15 years of small business ownership. This background provides a strong foundation in strategic planning, financial management, operations, and customer-focused decision-making—skills that translate directly into running a well-organized, sustainable, and member-driven club.

As President, I am committed to:
-
Fostering a culture of involvement, where members are encouraged to actively contribute and take ownership of the club
-
Creating mentorship opportunities to develop future leaders within the organization
-
Ensuring continued, responsible planning and financial stewardship to support long-term sustainability
-
Continuing the tradition of exceptional ski trips—East Coast favorites, Western adventures along with additional “Bucket List” experiences!
-
Strengthening the club’s social community through inclusive, engaging events year-round
At its core, my vision is about sustaining what makes this club special. By encouraging members to give back, get involved, and support one another, the club can continue to grow while preserving the traditions and spirit that have defined it for decades.

Please vote for Larry Gordon for President—because the best communities aren’t just enjoyed, they’re built and sustained—together.

Barbara Tomedolskey, Candidate for Secretary

I'm running for secretary because I really care about our ski club! I’m a forward-thinking and results-driven Senior/IT Project Manager with comprehensive expertise in project management, performance management, business process-re-engineering and internal controls. I've led large business and IT initiatives, solving complex problems, and driving strong team performance.
I’m eager to bring this experience to the Board.

I’ve been a club member for nearly 32 years and have built many lasting friendships. I previously served on the Board as Treasurer (2002–2004), as well as East Coast Ski Trip Committee Chair (2013-2019), Trips Appreciation Picnic Committee (2016-present), and more recently as Hiking Coordinator. I’ve led ski trips since 2002, organized hikes for many years, and run activities including paintball, Delaware tubing, bike rides, and Dine Arounds. Most recently, I’ve supported Activities while the club searches for a new Chair.
I’m excited to give back to a club that’s given me so much. I’m running for Secretary and would appreciate your vote.
Thank You

Barb
