After match from our Anonymous Donor, We Raised $6,040*

Thank you All for your Generosity with your time and donations. I’m so very grateful that so many Friends, Family, Club Members, and Donors supported this effort directly or behind the scenes. WE filled the gap. PCAS was $4,940 (13%) short of their $40,000 annual fundraiser goal. We made up the difference - AND - exceeded this Stretch Goal by $1,100! Yep, we didn’t golf (details below) but we kept the Fundraiser going. We All helped Athletes with Disabilities enjoy 13 different sports.
Event Co-leader, Anna Daniels, and I are both Adapted Biking Buddies on Sundays from 1-3pm in Exton. I’m also an Adapted Ski Instructor at Camelback on weekends. Ask us about the inspiration we get from both PCAS Athletes and other Volunteers!
Oh, back to June 21: Most disappointing: you didn’t meet the three PCAS Athletes who were coming to say Thank You!
Here’s our Guest Speaker, Kelly McAllister. First read this "ancient news article" (Kelly's words, 😂) that shows her spirit as a kid. https://lancasteronline.com/sports/amputee-swimmer-wins-despite-lack-of-medals/article_8a186a7b-9449-5404-8b90-c6d6336afea6.html

Kelly’s Thank You Note
“Wow! Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. I am a PCAS ski camp alum and current chaperone. My involvement with PCAS began nearly 25 years ago when I was a 15 year old learning to ski for the very first time after an above knee amputation at 12. Without camp, I never would have discovered a sport that I fell in love with; skiing gives me a feeling of strength and confidence. Ski camp also gave me lifelong friendships and wonderful mentors. I'm so thankful that PCAS exists to help empower people with disabilities through sports, and thanks to your generous donation, can continue their outreach.”

Snow Angels will be collecting cash donations for Martha's Choice Marketplace at the January Meeting.

Teddy Bedrossian was born with a very rare genetic condition, and doctors did not anticipate that he would live past the age of one. Not only did he surpass those expectations, but he also found a home at Elwyn’s Davidson School. Though he was nonverbal, Teddy could communicate, and he was a ray of sunshine to teachers and staff. Teddy loved the school, and this year’s fundraiser will benefit the new school building.
Teddy’s father, Dr. Ned Bedrossian, started the Ski-A-Thon as a way to celebrate Teddy’s legacy and raise funds for children with developmental and behavioral challenges. We invite you to hit the slopes, register to ski, and help us honor Teddy’s legacy while making a meaningful difference for children and families at Elwyn.
