KOPSC COVID-19 Policy

Updated March 8, 2022

Throughout this pandemic, the King of Prussia Ski Club Board of Directors has continued to place the health and safety of our members at the forefront of all our decisions. In light of the recent decline in COVID-19 cases in our area, effective Wednesday March 9, 2022, masks will be optional at all KOPSC indoor events, including bus transportation, unless otherwise required by the venue or vendor being used. At this time, masks are still required at airport terminals and on airplanes during flight.  As a reminder, please continue to practice social distancing when possible, and if you are not feeling well, please stay home.

Previously, rapidly rising numbers of COVID-19 cases led the travel, entertainment and restaurant industries to require customers to present vaccination cards or documentation of negative COVID tests as a means of helping to keep their businesses open and keeping their customers and employees safe. As a number of club members have contracted and/or otherwise been impacted by COVID, the KOPSC Board feels this is a prudent practice to follow to help reduce the risk to our members.

Therefore, all members planning to attend any KOPSC event that is held partially or totally indoors (including activities, bus trips and airline travel) are required to show an up-to-date COVID vaccination card (or digital picture thereof) at time of registration for the event.* In lieu of a vaccination card, members may present proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a testing facility (i.e., not from a home testing kit) completed less than 72 hours prior to the event or trip departure. Failure to adhere to this protocol is a violation of the club’s Code of Conduct and will be referred to the Board of Directors for review and follow-up. The Board may take action up to and including suspension of club membership.

*Members already registered for an upcoming club event or trip at time of implementation of this policy should submit a vaccination card to the trip or event leader as soon as possible or submit proof of a negative test as described above at time of event.
