2022-2023 ELECTION CANDIDATES

How to Vote

It’s time to vote for the 2022-2023 KOPSC Board of Directors. Your vote is very important in determining the composition of the Board. Similar to recent years, the virtual nature of our April membership meeting has us conducting the election via online balloting. You will have the option of voting in advance of – or during – the April 19th monthly meeting via the survey link that will be sent one week before the meeting. You will be required to vote by 8:30 PM on Tuesday, April 19th for your ballot to be counted. Our Judge of Elections Ann Hellrung will tabulate the results, and Member-at-Large Mark Schleyer will announce the winners at the end of the meeting.

We only have one contested race this year (Member-at-Large), but write-in votes are accepted for all other positions, and we want to be sure a majority of members determines the outcomes. When you receive the email with the information about voting online, please follow the link to the ballot and let your vote be counted.

Please see the list of candidates below. Job descriptions for the Board positions may be reviewed at https://www.kingofprussiaskiclub.com/board-of-directors.

Joanie Riemenschneider, Candidate for President

Hi! My name is Joanie Riemenschneider. I am excited to once again be considered for the position of President of the King of Prussia Ski Club Board of Directors and to continue my service to the club for another year. This past year as President has been very fulfilling. While we have had our share of challenges, with the help and cooperation of our entire membership, we always manage to overcome. I look forward to the 2022-2023 season and continuing to work with the Board of Directors, Committee chairs, and all members to keep our club active and engaged. My past experience with club committees and leading trips has been very valuable in dealing with the day-to-day operations of the club.

Professionally, I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 30+ years and am currently the Director of Quality Assurance and GMP Compliance for Endo Pharmaceuticals. In addition to ensuring the quality of our products and compliance with FDA regulations, I work on many cross-functional project teams.

It was exciting to see some of our KOPSC projects come to fruition this year, such as our online activity registrations. There are more things to come and I will continue to support these new initiatives, look for more efficient ways of working, keep our membership engaged and attract new members.

My past 20 years with KOPSC have been wonderful. I have participated in numerous events and activities with KOPSC and have made many lifelong friendships. I look forward to an opportunity to once again give back to the club to ensure we can continue to provide wonderful exciting trips and activities while looking for additional opportunities to meet the needs of our membership.

Gavin Murdoch, Candidate for Vice President

I have been in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 32 years, having served in operational, technical, procurement and business development leadership roles for both Merck &., Co Inc. and ThermoFisher. Currently as Senior Director for Strategic Partnerships, I lead teams that create novel technology and supply chain solutions to serve customers’ innovation and growth needs across drug substance, biologic, API, cell and gene therapy, viral vectors, plasmids and other novel technologies. I have been an active member of Drug Chemical and Associated Trades (DCAT), a leading industry business networking organization for many years, participating on various committees, serving as chair of the DCAT Education Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Murdoch holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, MBA in Finance from Villanova University, and Masters in Engineering Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

I love to ski, sail and am learning golf. I am looking forward to supporting KOPSC as Vice President, if elected.

Gary Hough, Candidate for Treasurer

My wife Jacqueline Coelln-Hough and I have been members of KOPSC for around 15 years and have been on a ski trip or two every year since then. We have lived in Princeton, NJ since 2006. I grew up in Ewing, NJ and graduated from Rider University in 1981 with a double major in accounting and computer science.

I recently retired (in March 2021) from a business that I owned and of which I had been CEO and CFO since 1992. We had 25 employees and sales of more than $50 million dollars. I spent a significant part of my time overseeing the finances and accounting of the company, including closing the books every month and filling in for my staff as needed (I have even done the company’s bank reconciliations and all types of tax returns when needed). We also had two smaller businesses for which we used QuickBooks for our accounting, and I did all of the initial setups and monthly accounting for these two businesses.

I am very interested in the Treasurer position, as I find accounting fun (crazy as that sounds) and have been looking for a way to use my skills on a part-time basis. Thanks for your consideration.

Linda Titanich, Candidate for Secretary

I’m excited to be running for Secretary of the KOPSC Board again. I really enjoyed being the Secretary for the last year and learned a lot about how all the trips and activities are organized. I recently retired after working in various business and technology roles at Vanguard for 40 years. As a Business Systems Analyst, I documented meeting minutes and system requirements as well as helping with design and testing of websites. I’ve been a member of KOPSC for four years and have had fun on ski trips, Friday Socials, Spring Banquet, and other activities. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the Board to improve the club for all its members.

Rick Bunn, Candidate for Member-at-Large

I have been a member of the King of Prussia Ski Club since 2016. I am married and have two adult children who are also members and have been on KOPSC ski trips with me over the last several years. I started skiing at the age of four and have enjoyed the sport my entire life and have made some great friends at KOPSC events. I am an entrepreneur with business interests in the energy sector, land development and residential home construction. KOPSC has provided me with a lot of enjoyment, and I want to use my business skills to contribute to the continued success of the ski club.

I am running for the two-year position of Member-at-Large to represent the general membership to the Board of Directors. The last several years, I have been active as a member and eventually Chair of the Ski Trip Planning Committee. I worked with the other members of the committee to plan and execute ski trips, navigating all the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. My goal on the STPC was to always make decisions that provided the greatest benefit for the largest number of our members. If I am elected as your representative to the Board, I will continue to work hard to make KOPSC the best it can be for all members.
